As part of this growth, the company welcomes Erica Nadeau as Tax Partner and Traci Grady as Manager within its dynamic tax consulting practice.

Erica Nadeau, CPA, MST

Erica enthusiastically joins AAFCPAs as Tax Partner following more than two decades of advanced public accounting experience within leading regional and national firms. She specializes in tax planning and regulatory compliance solutions for private businesses, high net worth individuals, and family offices. Erica provides income and partnership tax planning and preparation, annual tax assessments, tax minimization strategies, tax credits and incentives, asset protection structures and wealth transfer plans. Working in tandem with decision makers, she designs and implements strategies to facilitate business succession, preserve wealth, and legally secure transfer directives.

Erica holds a B.S. in Accounting and a Master of Science degree in Taxation (MST) from Bryant University. When not solving tax challenges, Erica may be found cheering her daughters on in swim meets and serving as an official, helping to run consistent, high-quality, and technically correct swim competitions.

Traci Grady, EA, Manager

Traci joins AAFCPAs as Manager following more than two decades of experience in tax, audit, and advisory functions at highly regarded regional and international CPA and consulting firms.

Traci is credentialled as an Enrolled Agent (EA), bringing experience and qualifications required to represent taxpayers before the IRS during collections, audits, and/or appeals.

She specializes in the unique needs of nonprofit organizations including private schools, education and youth services, foundations and grant making institutions. Traci directs teams and oversees the successful completion of financial statement audits. She also counsels clients on regulatory compliance and provides guidance on capital campaign optimization and best practice internal controls for financial reporting and investment activities.

Traci holds a B.S. in Accounting from Bentley University. While she may love audits, Traci also follows horseracing and visits the Saratoga Race Track every summer.

About the Authors

Traci has extensive experience providing audit, tax, and advisory solutions to sophisticated nonprofit organizations, including private schools, education & youth services, early education and care, foundations & grant making institutions. She specializes in directing teams in performing financial statement audits in accordance with Uniform Guidance/Single Audit and Government Auditing Standards, as well as those with state filing requirements, such as the Massachusetts Uniform Financial Statement (UFR). Traci advises clients on achieving regulatory compliance and establishing best practice internal controls over financial reporting. She also advises clients embarking on capital campaigns to ensure the “ask” in marketing collateral and the accounting treatment coincide with management’s desire. She provides guidance on accounting for endowments, including developing and evaluating investment and spending policies, designing reporting structures, and evaluating and improving internal controls over investment activities. She provides proactive guidance to foundation and grant-making clients as they plan for, minimize, and monitor excise taxes and unrelated business income tax (UBIT).
Erica is a leader in AAFCPAs’ Tax Practice, with specialized expertise advising private businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and family offices. Erica is an adept tax strategist, offering dynamic tax planning and regulatory compliance solutions that allow clients to adapt to fluctuating tax landscapes while reducing their tax obligations. Specializing in a broad range of tax categories, her expertise covers income and partnership tax planning and preparation, international tax planning, and other state and local levies. She is proficient in tax minimization strategies and adept at advising on tax credits and additional incentives.
