Justin Leroux, CPA
Justin is responsible for planning and executing financial statement audits for sophisticated nonprofit organizations. His experience in the nonprofit sector includes higher education, human & social services providers, community development corporations and their affordable housing development projects with HUD and Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency requirements. He has been serving AAFCPAs’ clients since 2011.
Justin has extensive experience with audits in accordance with Uniform Guidance/Single Audit Standards, the Massachusetts Uniform Financial Report, as well as generally accepted accounting principles used by quasi-public instrumentalities of Massachusetts. He advises clients with complex endowments by assisting in developing and evaluating investment and spending policies, designing reporting structures, and evaluating and improving internal controls over investment activities in line with the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act (UPMIFA).
Justin is an active member of AAF’s Nonprofit Accounting & Auditing and Affordable Housing Committees. He is a mentor, career coach and leader of the firm’s Professional Accountant Development (PAD) Program, and an in-house trainer on limited partnership and CDC assurance efficiencies, and other diverse audit and compliance topics.
