AAFCPAs Invited to Speak at Maine Cannabis Convention

AAFCPAs’ Cannabis Practice leaders David McManus, CPA, CGMA and Joshua England, LLM, Esq. have been invited to speak at the Maine Cannabis Convention/Homegrown Trade Show being held at the Augusta Civic Center in Augusta, Maine. The event will take place on Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 13, 2023 from 10 AM to 3 PM.

McManus and England are recognized for providing specialized advice and counsel to cannabis clients on a variety of business transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, licensing of intellectual property and brands, and issuance of stock options. In this session, Business Transactions for Growth and Exit, they share insight into some of the most popular business transactions in the space along with guidance on accounting for cannabis transactions and considerations for structuring transactions in the most tax efficient manner.
