Garrett Morand
Garrett is a seasoned, cross-functional leader and senior member of AAFCPAs’ Managed Accounting & Advisory Solutions practice. He has extensive experience providing leadership, strategic vision, and sound operational support to start-ups, growth-stage, and exit planning companies, including those in technology, manufacturing, distribution, retail, and cannabis.
As an experienced CFO, Garrett has been responsible for oversight of a range of activities essential to the management of the enterprise. These functions include Finance, HR, Operations, and IT. He has great perspective on how to best coordinate talent to maximize growth and profitability. He also has extensive experience designing business processes and internal controls to optimize both efficiency and security. Further, he keeps a pulse on leading technologies in managed accounting as well as the industries we serve and he’s a valuable resource in discussions surrounding IT spend.
Garrett’s financial expertise includes managing cash flow, financial planning & analysis, risk management, tax compliance readiness, accounting standards implementation, strategic planning & execution, board and investor relations, and business transaction advisory. He has provided valuable due diligence and advice to entrepreneurs, CEO founders, and investors through acquisitions, exit planning, and liquidity events.
Prior to returning to AAFCPAs (Garrett was a member of AAFCPAs’ Business Process & IT Consulting team from 2013-2015), he gained extensive experience leading finance functions for sophisticated, multi-national corporations. When not providing coordination and strategic alignment to his team and clients, Garrett enjoys mountain biking and cooking.
