Anne has been familiar with the reputation of AAFCPAs for many years, as she has served as CFO for sophisticated community development corporations and affordable housing developers. She has unique expertise advising clients on tax credit transactions, including New Markets, Low-Income Housing, federal and state Historic Rehabilitation, and Renewable Energy tax credits, and projects that combine tax credits with various levels of debt and rental assistance subsidies. Alvin Rasmus, MBA, Consulting CFO

Alvin Rasmus, MBA joins the firm as Consulting CFO and a senior member of the practice. He has extensive experience providing leadership, strategic vision, and sound operational support to growth-staged companies, including those in life sciences, technology, financial services, and cannabis. Prior to joining AAFCPAs, Alvin gained extensive experience leading finance functions for sophisticated, multi-national corporations. Kimberly Rice, Consulting Controller

Kimberly Rice recently joined the firm as Consulting Controller providing financial management & operational consulting for privately held commercial businesses, including cannabis dispensaries and cultivation facilities, construction contractors and real estate developers, and emerging technology companies. Prior to joining AAFCPAs, Kimberly gained extensive experience in accounting operations, giving her insight in budgeting, cost control, and accounting systems. Anne is a member of AAFCPAs’ Managed Accounting Solutions (MAS) practice, providing outsourced, cloud-based finance & accounting support for diverse nonprofits. She serves as a fractional controller for clients who are experiencing a transition, restructuring, or for those who need her specialized skills or resource enhancements. Prior to joining AAFCPAs, Anne gained over 25 years’ experience providing financial and operational consulting solutions to sophisticated nonprofits, including human & social services providers, as well as Community Development Corporations and their related affordable housing projects. Most recently, she served as CFO for NewVue Communities, which serves 22 communities in North Central MA.  Anne is an active participant with NeighborWorks America having participated as a mentor as part of the Strong Leaders Pilot Program. She is also a graduate of NeighborWorks Achieving Excellence Program, delivered in collaboration with Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. She is committed to using her skills and knowledge to identify what the “next level” could be for clients.
Alvin is a seasoned CFO and senior member of AAFCPAs’ Managed Accounting Solutions (MAS) practice. He has extensive experience providing leadership, strategic vision, and sound operational support to growth-staged companies, including those in life sciences, technology, financial services, and cannabis. Alvin’s expertise includes financial modeling, analysis & reporting, cross-functional team leadership, process improvement, enterprise risk management, technical accounting, SOX 404 implementation, transaction due diligence, strategic planning & execution, and change management. He has extensive experience working on both buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, and integrations. Alvin helps AAFCPAs’ clients achieve their long-term financial goals by examining their objectives, determining the resources necessary for the job, and organizing a plan of action to fulfill these aspirations. He serves as a true finance partner, helping CEOs, sales executives, and other program leaders understand which goals are realistic and pointing out major risks or benefits to each project.
Kimberly is a member of AAFCPAs’ Managed Accounting Solutions practice, providing cloud-based outsourced accounting & financial consulting for privately-held companies. She serves diverse businesses, including cannabis dispensaries and cultivation facilities, construction contractors and real estate developers, and emerging technology companies. Kimberly provides infrastructure set-up and process automation as well as knowledgeable financial leadership and accounting oversight. She creates systems and processes for analyzing and reporting financial information, ensures clients follow legal and regulatory requirements, and recommends improvements to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and internal control.
