Promotions

Robyn Leet (left) has been promoted to AAFCPAs’ Director, Business Process Assessments & Attestations. She is a solution-oriented, business process improvement architect & strategist with broad expertise in identifying operations or employee skills that may be improved to ensure smoother procedures, more efficient workflow and improved operational performance.

Vassilis Kontoglis (right) has been promoted to AAFCPAs’ Director, IT Security & Data Analytics. Vassilis helps clients identify risks from the use of technology that could potentially cause information loss and/or financial and reputational harm. He also helps clients determine if planned technology acquisitions comply with federal and state laws and company policies for protecting critical data before they are implemented.

Vassilis is a critical thinker who uncovers and synthesizes data connections, and helps clients see and understand their data through easy-to-understand dashboards and data visualization models. Robyn brings over 20 years of continuous business process improvement and internal controls experience to AAFCPAs’ diverse clients. From her beginnings as an auditor in public accounting, she learned the fundamentals of business requirements and frameworks. This knowledge was applied to further her impact in her roles as Controller in private, closely-held businesses. These opportunities have bolstered her broad exposure to businesses in multiple stages of growth and with varying levels of needs to validate her insight into the inner workings and requirements of business operations and functions, always looking at the big picture and keeping the client in scope.
Vassilis is a leader in AAFCPAs’ Business Process & IT Consulting Practice. He has 20+ years’ proven experience providing business intelligence, productivity, information risk management, and cybersecurity solutions. He is a critical resource in keeping clients and the firm on the forefront of transformative technologies while mitigating risks that come along with these advancements. Vassilis leads the delivery of Robotic Process Automation solutions at AAFCPAs. He understands the unique requirements to achieve RPA success, including proper design, planning, implementation, and governance. He works collaboratively with clients and cross-functional teams, and leverages his deep understanding of enterprise information systems, business logic, and structured inputs to automate rote processes and increase operational efficiency. Vassilis is also the leader of AAFCPAs’ automation center of excellence (CoE), an internal team that streamlines automation output, provides structure, and helps scale automation through the firm.
