Kasey Moran, CPA
Director
Kasey is a leader in AAFCPAs’ Community & Economic Development Practice, with extensive experience providing assurance, tax, and operational consulting solutions to community development corporations (CDCs) and affordable housing and mixed-use real estate developers. Kasey routinely advises clients on tax credit-based financing used widely in the community development industry including New Markets tax credits (NMTCs), Low-Income Housing tax credits (LIHTCs), federal and state Historic Rehabilitation tax credits (HTCs), and projects that combine tax credits with various levels of debt and rental assistance subsidies. Kasey has experience with cost certifications and advising clients on eligible basis requirements. She supports projects throughout their life cycle, from deal structuring to tax credit compliance, and assists with investor exits.
She has extensive experience advising clients with complex funding and multiple programs required to comply with Uniform Guidance/Single Audit and Government Auditing Standards. Kasey supports some of the most complex Uniform Financial Reports (UFRs) in Massachusetts, with deep expertise in cost allocation methodologies and their impact on program outcomes.
Kasey is a past recipient of St. Anselm’s Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year Award, and an elected member of Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college student athlete honor society. When not at work, she spends time with her yellow lab, Ralphie, who ensures every day starts with a wag and ends with a smile.
