AAFCPAs Shares Nonprofit Audit Proofing Strategies at 2026 Institute for Trustees Conference
AAFCPAs has been invited to present a workshop as part of the 2026 Institute for Trustees Conference for nonprofit board members and executive directors presented by Essex County Community Foundation, Greater Worcester Community Foundation, Community Foundation for MetroWest, and South Coast Community Foundation. The conference brings together nearly 1,000 leaders from across the sector to discuss financial oversight, fundraising strategy, and governance along with technology and security—core issues shaping nonprofit performance and accountability.
During a 90-minute virtual session titled A CPA, CFO and CFE Walk into a Bar… Audit-Proofing Your Organization, AAFCPAs’ partners Katie Belanger, CPA, and Lisa Whittemore, CFE, CRMA, MBA, will join Thomas Pappas, principal at CLA, to examine audit readiness in a period of heightened financial and regulatory scrutiny.

A virtual peer lunch hour on June 2 provides additional opportunity for connection and dialogue. Regional sessions will also be offered.
