AAFCPAs’ Marketing Leaders Volunteer Their Skills to Strengthen a Boston Nonprofit

Matthew Boyle & Patrick HuegelAAFCPAs Partner and CMO Matthew Boyle, MBA and Marketing Manager Patrick Huegel participated in Common Impact’s second annual Skills for Cities Boston on September 30, 2019. Skills for Cities is an inspiring day of corporate-nonprofit collaboration to solve community challenges for nonprofits in Boston.

Matthew and Pat invested their unique marketing talents in a strategic, operational consulting role to strengthen SpeakEasy Stage Company’s ability to create more impact and change in its community. Matthew served as team lead for a branding audit for the non-profit theatre company and provided recommendations to further distinguish them in the Boston theatre landscape. Pat tackled a website assessment for SpeakEasy and developed recommendations focused on user experience for the theatre audience.

“I was drawn to Common Impact’s mission to accelerate solutions to our most pressing social challenges,” said Matthew. “They serve a critical role in matching volunteers’ unique skills and talent to the most appropriate nonprofit with the goal of maximizing impact.”
“I was honored to share my digital marketing expertise with SpeakEasy and inspired by how they enrich our community,” adds Pat. “SpeakEasy believes that theatre can change the world. Their intimate theatre in the South End and thought-provoking shows have entertained and enlightened Bostonians for almost 30 years.”

This volunteer opportunity was part of AAFCPAs’ Day of Service program, intended to expose and encourage volunteerism to AAFCPAs’ 225 team members. Community Services is a treasured core value of AAFCPAs.
