Boston, MA (October 30, 2018) – AAFCPAs, a best-in-class CPA and consulting firm known for assurance, tax, accounting, wealth management, valuation, business process, and IT advisory solutions, today announced it has partnered with Nichols College Graduate & Professional Studies to provide tailored programs for CPA licensing and MBA degrees.
The initiative is part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to attract the best accounting talent in the industry. The program will offer tracks for:
- CPA exam training: employees can enroll in an instructor-led, four-part program to prepare for each required CPA exam segment over an 18-month period. Participants can attend in person or remotely for weekly courses, with additional access to professors outside of class hours.
- Master’s degrees: team members who pass the CPA exam will be eligible to enroll in a custom-designed Nichols program for a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
“We believe in CPAs that are well rounded business professionals, with an understanding of how all the disciplines of business interact with one another. That’s why we have created access to that knowledge – a new part of our ongoing effort to make our people and our firm as successful as possible,” said Dave McManus, Co-Managing Partner at AAFCPAs. “This innovative program eliminates hurdles for our young professionals: they can study together, receive financial support, and take classes in a convenient setting.”
The ability to customize the content of the courses was key to the partnership, added Dave. As the accounting and business industry changes, the programs can be quickly adapted to reflect the real-world circumstances faced by the AAFCPAs team.
“Partnering with AAFCPAs is a win-win for its employees and for Nichols College,” said Kerry Calnan, executive director of Nichols College Graduate & Professional Studies. “Our role is to advance the education and potential of our students, and this program helps AAFCPAs professionals create an exceptional knowledge base that will pay dividends throughout their careers.”
