Maria Zullo, ABV, AM
Director, Business Valuations and Forensics
Maria provides comprehensive business valuations and forensic analyses for a broad range of financial reporting and tax purposes as well as transaction advisory and litigation matters. She is recognized for delivering clear, well-supported conclusions grounded in technical rigor and practical insight. While guiding clients through complex financial issues, she brings a thoughtful, measured approach that recognizes the emotional and financial significance behind each engagement.
Her valuation and forensic expertise spans business valuations for financial reporting (purchase price allocations and goodwill impairment testing), tax planning (estate and gift tax, IRC 409A, charitable contributions), and strategic business planning. She provides litigation support, including calculating financial and economic damages for breach of contract claims, shareholder disputes, intellectual property matters, marital dissolution, wrongful termination cases, and bankruptcy involving solvency analysis. Her forensic work includes tracing funds in alleged employee misconduct and fraud matters. Maria’s valuations are built to meet the rigorous standards required by regulators, courts, and other stakeholders. By transforming complex financial data into actionable insights, she helps clients approach high-stakes disputes with clarity and confidence.
Maria brings more than 30 years of combined entrepreneurial and financial services experience, including a senior management role at a Big Four firm. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Fordham University. An avid runner and dance enthusiast, she has completed seven marathons, more than 25 half marathons, and numerous shorter races. She is currently pursuing the Abbott World Marathon Majors Six Star Finisher Medal, a distinction held by fewer than 25,000 runners worldwide. Maria speaks both English and Italian.
