Leah Baxendale
Accounting Systems Specialist
Leah supports AAFCPAs’ Outsourced Accounting & Fractional CFO practice, helping both team members and clients navigate and optimize modern accounting software platforms including QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, and BILL.com. She manages user accounts, delivers user support through helpdesk engagement, and assists with onboarding clients, ensuring accurate setup and smooth access to essential tools. Leah also supports reporting functions through platforms such as Jirav and Reach Reporting, helping clients access actionable insights efficiently.
In addition to day-to-day support, Leah assists with data migrations, file conversions, and the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives. She maintains documentation of client accounts, team processes, and software subscriptions while coordinating with software vendors to ensure timely updates and resolutions. She previously worked at AAFCPAs from 2019 to 2022, most recently as an industry senior accountant, before returning. Leah shares that coming back to AAFCPAs was an easy decision because of the firm’s dedication to both its team members and its clients. She views her role as a reflection of the increasing importance of technology in accounting and values the opportunity for continuous learning while assisting clients and colleagues daily. With a background in transactional accounting and a strong interest in applying technology to financial operations, she helps streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency across the firm.
Leah earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with concentrations in Accounting and Criminal Justice Management, summa cum laude, from Nichols College. She also holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Homeland Security and Counterterrorism from Southern New Hampshire University. When she is not supporting clients and team members, Leah can often be found on the ice playing hockey, discovering the fast-paced world of pickleball, or enjoying time with her dog, who keeps her company during lunch breaks.
