Jen brings deep expertise in strategic tax planning for businesses, helping owners navigate complex federal, state, and local tax laws to proactively reduce liabilities and maximize savings year-round. She takes a forward-looking approach to tax strategy, identifying opportunities that support business growth, enhance cash flow, and avoid common pitfalls while keeping clients fully compliant with evolving regulations.
Her background also includes business valuation, forensic accounting, and personal income tax, allowing her to deliver integrated, forward-looking tax strategies that support long-term growth. She leverages this multidisciplinary perspective to help business owners make informed decisions across transactions, compensation structures, and succession planning.
Jennifer served as partner and director of operations for over 18 years at McLaren & Associates CPAs, PC, which was acquired by AAFCPAs in January 2026. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at The Center for Women and Enterprise, where she worked with entrepreneurs on business planning, funding strategies, and the tax considerations tied to growth and expansion. She has also advised clients across industries on the financial and tax implications of key business decisions. In addition, Jennifer served as an adjunct instructor at Clark University, teaching taxation, entrepreneurship, accounting, and financial analysis.
Jennifer was recognized in the Worcester Business Journal’s “40 Under Forty” and published “Finding Balance: 10 Tips for Managing Stress and Enjoying Life” in MassCPAs (Spring 2025). Jen lives in Hubbardston, Massachusetts and, when not at work, enjoys singing opera, watching her son play hockey, cheering for the Boston Bruins, and spending time with her grandson.
