Olga Yasinnik, CPA, MBA
Director, Assurance
Olga specializes in driving high-energy audit teams, and advising sophisticated nonprofit organizations, including multi-services human & social services providers, community development corporations (CDCs) and their affordable housing development projects. She provides proactive guidance to these clients who receive state and federal grants and must file Uniform Financial Reports (UFRs) and require audits in accordance with Uniform Guidance/Single Audit and Government Auditing Standards. Olga brings a wealth of expertise in delivering diverse consulting services. Her experience spans a wide spectrum, encompassing the implementation of new accounting standards, the optimization and fortification of internal controls to enhance fiscal efficiency and reliability, and the facilitation of the formalization of accounting policies, along with the seamless integration of cutting-edge software solutions.
Olga is a leader in AAFCPAs Community Impact and Humans Services niche, as well as an active member of AAFCPAs’ Accounting & Auditing Committee, and an in-house technical trainer on Uniform Guidance/Single Audits, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) audits, and the FASB’s lease accounting standard, ASU 2016-02, Leases (Topic 842). Olga launched AAFCPAs’ Leases Accounting Standard Task Force and has been devoted to helping organizations adopt this complex standard. Olga is the 2023 recipient of the AAFCPAs’ partnership-nominated Joel Aronson Character Award, in recognition of her dedication to our clients’ well-being and generosity of his time towards others, including fellow team members and communities in need. She is also a past winner of AAFCPAs’ peer-nominated Excellence in Client Service award, in recognition of her exceptional efforts, and she has been serving AAF clients with distinction since 2009. She is an alumna of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce/Simmons School of Management 2014-2015 Women’s Leadership Program. She speaks English, Ukrainian, and Russian.
