Parth Patel, CPA
Senior Accountant
Parth plans and manages financial statement audits and reviews for sophisticated nonprofit organizations, including multi-service human and social service agencies, private schools, charter schools, and charter management organizations (CMOs). He conducts audits in accordance with Uniform Guidance/Single Audit requirements, Government Auditing Standards, U.S. GAAP, GASB, and under regulations from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Parth is well-versed in the application of FASB standards for nonprofit organizations and works closely with clients to ensure accurate financial disclosures and footnote reporting.
He also brings experience in complex debt arrangements, including procedures for testing term loans and lines of credit. His expertise supports nonprofit organizations in navigating intricate financial structures while maintaining compliance and fiscal responsibility.
Parth supports clients nationwide, with extensive experience as an engagement in-charge, responsible for preparing audit plans, evaluating internal controls, and identifying emerging areas of audit risk. Known for his clear communication and proactive approach, Parth streamlines the audit process and sees each engagement through from planning to final deliverables.
He holds a Master of Accounting Science and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Outside of work, Parth enjoys biking, spending time in nature, and reading across genres—from historical fiction and mystery to nonfiction that offers new perspectives.
