Kayla McEwen
Assistant Director, Career Development & Employee Engagement
Kayla is Assistant Director in AAFCPAs’ Career Development and Employee Engagement team, where she supports the growth of professionals across the firm through executive coaching, leadership training, and tailored development strategies. Bringing a strong background in coaching and talent advising, Kayla helps team members identify and achieve their career goals.
Since 2016, she has provided career and performance coaching, instructed on professional skills, and led a full curriculum redesign of development coursework. She has extensive experience creating and teaching courses on career exploration, preparation including resumes and interviewing, and professional success skills. Kayla has also developed and implemented programs that foster belonging, promote inclusivity, and support engagement and retention, with a strong focus on growth, mentorship, and leadership.
Upholding a culture of continuous learning and professional growth at AAFCPAs, she provides performance coaching and acts as a trusted sounding board to guide individuals as they navigate their career. Kayla partners with team members to deepen self‑awareness, clarify goals, and take ownership of their professional growth. She is recognized for her grounded coaching presence, empathetic communication, and ability to create space for meaningful insight and growth. Kayla also collaborates closely with departments to drive innovation in talent management.
She holds a Master of Science, College Student Development and Counseling, from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in neuroscience from Saint Anselm College. She also holds the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation, a globally recognized designation reflecting rigorous coaching education, hands‑on experience, and adherence to professional standards. She resides in Nashua, New Hampshire, where she enjoys good music, skiing, and spending time outdoors with her husband and children.
