AAF is excited to announce that the firm has been recognized in Top Places to Work 2014 – The Boston Globe’s annual list of the top 125 workplaces in Massachusetts. AAF ranked number 18 for best workplace in the midsize company category (100 to 249 employees).
“It’s all about culture, and culture starts at the top,” said Carla McCall, co-managing partner at AAF. “We proactively create a culture that nurtures quality, innovation, and teamwork and rewards dedication, sincerity, and determination.”
“Employer success can’t be measured solely in profits and revenue,” said Boston Globe Business Editor Mark Pothier. “What matters most to employers are their people. This year’s winning companies go above and beyond to motivate and challenge their workers, which tends to encourage innovation and loyalty.”
So how exactly did AAF become named a Top Place to Work? The Globe conducted a confidential survey of Commonwealth workers. Employees rated AAF positively on factors related to employee happiness, including company direction, execution, employee connection, work load and responsibility, management, pay and benefits.
“I get charged up daily by the high-energy atmosphere at AAF,” offers Stacie Amaral, tax manager with AAF since 2004. “I am surrounded by colleagues who are driven to succeed.”
AAF is known for its unique culture and extensive benefits package that focuses on employees’ life, personal, and business needs. The firm’s staff turnover rate is just 12% over the past three years, which is far less than the industry average of 17%.
“We know that happy CPAs make happy clients,” said Dave McManus, co-managing partner at AAF. “Since our inception in 1973, AAF has believed that each staff member contributes directly to AAF’s growth and success and we strive to provide professional experiences that are challenging, enjoyable, and rewarding.
