Carla specializes in providing accounting, tax, and business consulting services to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations and small-to-medium sized businesses. Her nonprofit client base includes health care agencies, arts and cultural organizations, community development corporations, private foundations and many social service agencies. She has extensive experience with Federal, state and other regulatory compliance requirements of nonprofit organizations. Carla's commercial client base includes manufacturing, distribution, real estate limited partnerships and various small businesses.

Carla was recognized as a Worcester Business Journal 40 under 40 award winner for her outstanding business success and continuing contributions to the community. She has presented training courses for nonprofit agencies and other CPA's in association with the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). She is considered a specialist in Uniform Financial Report regulations and conducts annual trainings within AAF.

Actively involved, Carla is a member of AAF's Executive Committee, the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce's Women's Network advisory board, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the MSCPA. For the latter, she is member of the MSCPA Board, Chair of the MSCPA Audit Committee, and a member of the MSCPA Management of an Accounting Practice Committee. She is currently an Audit/Finance Committee member and former Audit Committee Chairperson for Strong Women, Strong Girls, Inc., a nonprofit in Boston that helps young girls become strong women through an innovative mentoring process. She was also actively involved in the steering committee of the YWCA of Central Massachusetts that helped raise money for their Encore Program.

Carla joined AAF in 1995, after working for six years for a public accounting firm in Connecticut. She is a graduate of Bentley College where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
